Our school can help with enrolment queries throughout the year.
Years of intake
The Ponds High School currently has a shared enrolment area with Glenwood High School. This shared area will be revised for the next student intake. Being a new and developing school, The Ponds High School has a progressive enrolment process, introducing a new year group each year (which started in 2015).
2015 – Year 7
2016 – Years 7 & 8
2017 – Years 7, 8 & 9
2018 – Years 7, 8, 9 & 10
2019 – Years 7, 8, 9, 10 & 11
2020 – Years 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 & 12
Students who live in our drawing area but are unable to attend The Ponds High School due to the progressive enrolment will be zoned for either Glenwood, Riverstone or Quakers Hill High Schools.
Local enrolment area
Most schools have designated local enrolment areas. The School Finder shows our local enrolment area. Note: local enrolment areas are subject to change.
Non-local enrolments
As outlined in the department’s enrolment policy, our school may accept enrolments from outside our local enrolment area if places are available.
We will assess applications for non-local enrolment on a case-by-case basis.
Distance education
Distance education is an equity program for students who are geographically isolated or whose individual circumstances prevent them from regularly attending school. Students must meet one of the conditions in the Distance Education Enrolment Procedures to be eligible to access this program as a full-time student.
Distance education schools also provide single subjects for students in Years 9 to 12 to enhance curriculum choice. Please contact us for details.
For more information about educational opportunities in rural areas, visit Rural and distance education.
Due to growing numbers in The Ponds High School catchment area, The Ponds High School will only accept out of area students under exceptional circumstances. Siblings will be considered on a case by case basis which includes multiple selection criteria.
To apply write to the Principal (Mrs Jennifer Weal). You must include all relevant details concerning the reasons for seeking an out of area enrolment (as listed above). You may wish to include copies of support material.
Temporary visas and international students
For information about eligibility and forms to complete, visit the Temporary Residents Program.
The Ponds High School does not have International students at this time.
